Forgot your password? This guide walks you through resetting it.

Starting a Password Reset

From the Login Page

1. Go to helloworlddao.com
2. Click Log In
3. Click Forgot Password? below the login form
4. Enter your registered email address
5. Click Send Reset Link

Email Delivery

Within a few minutes, you'll receive an email with:

• Subject: "Reset Your Password - Hello World DAO"
• A secure reset link
• Link expires in 1 hour

WARNING

If you don't receive the email:

• Check your spam/junk folder
• Verify you entered the correct email
• Request a new reset link

Completing the Reset

1. Click the link in your email
2. You'll be taken to the password reset page
3. Enter your new password
4. Confirm your new password
5. Click Reset Password

Password Requirements

Your new password must have:

• At least 8 characters
• At least one uppercase letter
• At least one lowercase letter
• At least one number
• At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)

After Reset

Once your password is reset:

• You can log in with your new password
• All existing sessions are terminated
• You'll receive a confirmation email

Troubleshooting

"Email Not Found"

This error means the email isn't registered with us:

• Check for typos in the email
• Try other email addresses you may have used
• If you're sure you have an account, contact support

"Link Expired"

Reset links expire after 1 hour:

1. Go back to the login page
2. Click Forgot Password? again
3. Request a new reset link
4. Complete the reset promptly

"Link Already Used"

Each reset link can only be used once:

• If you successfully reset, you're done
• If the reset failed, request a new link

"Password Not Accepted"

Your new password may not meet requirements:

• Check it has 8+ characters
• Include uppercase and lowercase
• Add numbers and special characters
• Try a different password

Choose a Strong Password

• Use a passphrase (e.g., "MyDogLoves2Run!")
• Avoid personal information (birthdays, names)
• Don't reuse passwords from other sites
• Consider a password manager

After Resetting

• Update saved passwords in your browser
• Update any password managers
• Check your account for unusual activity
