Casting Your Vote
This guide walks you through the step-by-step process of voting on a proposal.
Prerequisites
Before you can vote, ensure:
- Your membership is Active (not expired or in grace period)
- You have a valid Membership NFT
- You haven't already voted on this proposal
- The proposal is in Active status
Step-by-Step Voting
Step 1: Find the Proposal
- Navigate to Governance or check your Dashboard
- Look for proposals with Active status
- Click on the proposal you want to vote on
Step 2: Review the Proposal
Before voting, take time to:
- Read the full proposal description
- Understand what changes will occur if it passes
- Review any linked discussions
- Consider the financial or operational implications
WARNING
Votes are final and cannot be changed. Make sure you understand the proposal before voting.

- Proposal title
- Your selected vote (For/Against)
- Confirmation message
Click Confirm Vote to submit.
Step 5: Receive Confirmation
After successful voting:
- On-screen confirmation - "Your vote has been recorded"
- Vote-Pass NFT minted - Temporary token confirming your vote
- Dashboard updated - Shows you've voted on this proposal
What Happens When You Vote
- Transaction Initiated: Your vote is sent to the blockchain
- Vote-Pass NFT Minted: A temporary NFT is created as proof of voting
- Vote Recorded: Your vote is added to the tally
- Confirmation: You receive confirmation of successful vote
The Vote-Pass NFT is automatically burned when the proposal closes.
Viewing Your Vote
After voting:
- The proposal shows "You voted: For" or "You voted: Against"
- Check Voting History in your dashboard for all your votes
- Vote history shows the proposal, your vote, and the outcome
Why Votes Are Final
Votes cannot be changed because:
- Blockchain immutability: Once recorded, transactions cannot be altered
- Fairness: Prevents strategic vote-changing based on current tallies
- Integrity: Ensures all votes are committed and counted equally
Troubleshooting
"Unable to Vote" Error
Possible causes:
- Expired membership: Renew your membership first
- Already voted: Check if you've already voted on this proposal
- Proposal closed: The voting window may have ended
- Technical issue: Refresh the page and try again
Vote Not Appearing in History
- Wait a few moments for blockchain confirmation
- Refresh your dashboard
- If still missing after 5 minutes, contact support
"Not Authorized" Message
- Verify your membership is active
- Check that you're logged into the correct account
- Ensure your Membership NFT is valid

- Don't wait until the last minute - Technical issues could prevent your vote
- Review carefully - Your vote is permanent
- Participate regularly - Your voice matters in every decision
- Check deadlines - Note when voting closes

- Log in to your account
- Navigate to the proposal
- Tap For or Against
- Confirm your vote
