Renewal Process
Your Hello World Co-Op membership renews annually. This guide explains when and how to renew your membership.
Renewal Timeline

When to Renew
The renewal window is December 1 through January 31. During this two-month window:
- You'll receive email reminders
- A renewal notice appears on your dashboard
- The "Renew Membership" button becomes available
TIP
We recommend renewing in December to ensure uninterrupted membership.

- Go to Dashboard - you'll see a renewal notice
- Click "Renew Membership"
- Review renewal details:
- Renewal period (next calendar year)
- Amount due ($25 USD)
- Complete payment via Stripe
- Receive confirmation - email and on-screen confirmation
Payment Methods
Renewal payments are processed through Stripe. Accepted payment methods:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- Some regional payment methods (depending on location)
Renewal Confirmation
After successful renewal:
- Email receipt sent to your registered email
- Dashboard updated to show new expiration date
- Payment record added to your payment history
What If I Miss the Deadline?
If you don't renew by January 31:
Grace Period (February 1-28)
- Your membership enters a 30-day grace period
- You can still renew during this time
- Voting rights are suspended during grace period
- Dashboard shows "Grace Period" status
After Grace Period (March 1+)
- Membership expires
- You lose voting rights
- You'll need to re-apply as a new member
- KYC may need to be re-verified
WARNING
Don't wait until the grace period! Renew during December-January to maintain uninterrupted membership benefits.
Renewal Reminders
You'll receive reminders at these intervals:
- December 1 - Renewal window opens
- December 15 - First reminder
- January 1 - New year reminder
- January 15 - Second reminder
- January 25 - Final reminder
- February 1 - Grace period warning
Reminders are sent via email to your registered address. Make sure your email is up to date in your account settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I renew early (before December)? No, the renewal window opens on December 1. You cannot pay for next year's membership before then.
Q: Is there a multi-year option? Currently, memberships are annual only. Multi-year options may be available in the future.
Q: Can I get a refund if I renew but don't want to continue? Membership fees are non-refundable. If you're unsure, wait until you're certain before renewing.
