Privacy Settings
Control how your information appears to other members and manage your privacy preferences.
Accessing Privacy Settings
- Log in to helloworlddao.com
- Go to Account > Settings
- Select the Privacy tab
Visibility Settings
Directory Visibility
Control how you appear in the Member Directory:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Full Visibility | Show member ID, display name, archetype, and join date |
| Limited Visibility | Show only member ID and archetype |
| Hidden | Don't appear in the directory at all |
TIP
Even when hidden, you can still fully participate in governance. Other members will see your votes counted in tallies but won't be able to identify you in the directory.
Profile Information
Choose what to display on your profile:
- Display Name: Set a public name (optional)
- Bio: Brief description (optional)
- Archetype: Always visible to reflect your journey
Activity Privacy
Voting Visibility
Your individual votes are:
- Public in tallies: Votes are counted openly on-chain
- Identified by wallet: Your principal ID is associated with votes
- Not linked to profile: Unless you choose to display your principal publicly
Participation History
Control visibility of:
- Proposals you've created
- Comments you've made
- Activity timeline on your profile
Data Management
Export Your Data
Download a copy of your information:
- Go to Privacy > Data Export
- Select what to include
- Click Generate Export
- Download the file (available for 24 hours)

Account Deletion
If you need to close your account:
- Contact support via the help form
- Note: Membership NFT data remains on-chain (immutable)
- Profile and personal data will be removed from our systems
Security Recommendations
Protect your privacy:
- Use a unique email for your co-op account
- Enable Internet Identity for passwordless, secure access
- Review settings periodically to ensure they match your preferences
