1. How do I reset my password?

If you've forgotten your password:

  1. Go to helloworlddao.com and click Log In
  2. Click Forgot Password? below the login form
  3. Enter your registered email address
  4. Check your email for the reset link (check spam if not found)
  5. Click the link and create a new password

Reset links expire after 1 hour. If the link has expired, request a new one.

Internet Identity provides secure, passwordless login:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Account Settings > Security
  3. Click Link Internet Identity
  4. You'll be redirected to identity.ic0.app
  5. Create a new II or use an existing anchor
  6. Authorize the connection

Once linked, you can sign in with one click using your device's biometrics.

3. Why was my payment declined?

Common reasons for declined payments:

4. When does my membership expire?

All memberships expire on December 31 of each year, regardless of when you joined.

To check your expiration date:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to your Dashboard
  3. View your membership status in the Member Information section

Renewal window: December 1 - January 31 Grace period: February 1-28 (if you miss the deadline)

5. How do I renew my membership?

Renew during the window (December 1 - January 31):

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Dashboard - you'll see a renewal notice
  3. Click Renew Membership
  4. Complete the $25 payment via Stripe
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email

Important: If you don't renew by February 28 (end of grace period), you'll need to rejoin as a new member.

6. Why can't I vote on a proposal?

You may be unable to vote if:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Verify your membership status is Active

7. How do I view my Membership NFT?

Your Membership NFT represents your ownership stake in the co-op.

To view it:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Dashboard
  3. Find the Membership NFT section
  4. View your NFT details (Token ID, status)

What it shows:

  • Token ID (unique identifier)
  • Current status (Active/Expired)
  • Token type (Soul-Bound Token)

Your Membership NFT is non-transferable and tied to your account.


8. What happens if I miss the renewal window?

If you don't renew by January 31:

February 1-28 (Grace Period):

  • You can still renew
  • Voting rights are suspended
  • Account access remains

After February 28 (Expired):

  • Membership lapses
  • You lose voting rights
  • Must rejoin as new member
  • May need to re-complete KYC

Recommendation: Renew in December to avoid issues.

9. How do I contact support?

  • Your member ID (found on dashboard)
  • Description of your issue
  • Screenshots if applicable
  • Any error messages you received

Response time: Usually within 24-48 hours

For urgent account security issues: Include "URGENT" in the subject line.


10. How do I export my data (GDPR)?

Under GDPR, you have the right to download your personal data:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Account Settings > Privacy
  3. Click Export My Data
  4. Select what data to include
  5. Click Generate Export
  6. Download when ready (link sent via email)

Data included:

  • Personal information
  • Membership data
  • Voting history
  • Payment records

Q: Can I change my email address? Yes. Go to Account Settings > Profile > Change Email. You'll need to verify the new email.

Q: How do I enable multi-device support? Link Internet Identity and add multiple devices through identity.ic0.app.

Q: Is my account secure? Yes. We use encryption, secure authentication, and on-chain verification to protect your account.

Membership

Q: What is the membership fee? $25 USD per year, or prorated if joining mid-year.

Q: Can I get a refund? Membership fees are non-refundable after payment is processed.

Q: Is there a free trial? No, but the $25 annual fee is kept intentionally low for accessibility.

Voting

Q: Can I change my vote? No. Once cast, votes are final and recorded on the blockchain.

Q: Why is my vote private? Individual votes are kept private to allow free expression without social pressure.

Q: What is 1M1V? "1 Member = 1 Vote" - every member has equal voting power, regardless of tenure or contribution.

Technical Issues

Q: The site won't load. What do I do? Try: clearing browser cache, different browser, checking internet connection, or waiting and retrying.
